Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I liked the ocean view and the amenities. I enjoyed the beach, the pools, the morning yoga and the aqua aerobics at noon. The beaches were beautiful and the hotel was in close walking distance to both the Soriana for groceries and La Isla for restaurants and shopping. All the staff were really friendly. Enjoyed having a kitchenette and a washer and dryer. The room was spacious.

The room was joined to another room and we could hear a kid having temper tantrums. They left a letter at our room to come down to get our welcome package and welcome drinks which were either a pina colada or coffee of the day. The welcome drink ended up being a lame americano coffee and I was not even able to pay the difference to get a nicer drink like a latte or cappuccino. This welcome drink was a disappointment. Really…how much does a drink cost in comparison to your stay at this hotel. They could do better.

Location and Rooms are awesome.

I have stayed here many times, and the facilities and location are really top notch. I was traveling alone, so I wanted something near the Isla mall and restaurants, which I right across the street. The pool area and beach front are probably the nicest in Cancun. I would highly recommend.

The only issue is I was approached multiple times about the Timeshare presentation, which gets annoying.

Beautiful place with everything we needed onsite

Room was very nice, pool was ideal for us and our young grandson and beach facilities were also nice.

The hot water in our room sometimes only ever got to Luke warm. One elevator was not working which was a minor inconvenience.

Great time and not long enough. Perfect for the rest requiredafter a flat out 7 days in Orlando.

The location was perfect. Beautiful sandy beaches, incredible infinity edge pool, spacious suites and the team were lovely. Victoria provided a list of restaurants to try. We got to two of them and they were great choices, thankyou.

Pepsi, heavens. Every great resort knows you must serve Coke.

Beautiful hotel but don’t expect good food.

The villas, pools, bars and physical facilities are clean, modern and conducive to having a relaxing vacation. The surrounding area outside of the hotel has a multitude of shopping and dining options with bus transportation readily accessible for trips to grocery stores and restaurants along the ‘tourist strip’.

Laguna Mar is a hybrid timeshare/rental property and is very popular. While they advertise that all rooms have an ocean view they do have rooms that look out on the back of the property that overlook a construction staging area and the only view is a narrow band through trees to see a sliver of ocean. It is a particularly ugly view. Given the cost of a stay it is very annoying to be paying for a view of construction at the same rate as others with a full expansive view of the ocean/beach. We complained and were moved mid-week but we were not alone. There were many similar complaints and moves. The staff try to accommodate but you essentially lose a day - out of your room by 10 and a move-in at 4. Strongly recommend that you speak with your concierge before your arrival to specify what you want in your room. Even better if you can specify a building. One more thing, and this is endemic to the area, if you’re looking for good Mexican food don’t go to Cancun. They’ve dumbed it down in the belief that all tourists do not like flavourful, spicy food.

The sales staff is too pushy for buying their holiday plan. Even when my 4 year old daughter literally almost started crying of hunger, they wanted us to fill the feedback form, for which I request that I'll do after lunch, but they were adamant. The other staff was very good housekeeping, restaurant, room service etc

Had a fantastic and relaxed time here.

Excellent pool area with poolside service. Beach just in front with sun chairs. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely view from the balcony. We had a kitchen and laundry and great bathroom with bathtub. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

We were close to the central aircon on one of the roofs so it was very loud on the balcony.

Amazing location and even better customer service.

Everything from location to rooms (views/cleanliness, etc.) - was amazing. We loved the customer service. Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in September with my family. Felipe at the Conceirge was really helpful - He helped us with booking all our tours/activities and gave us the best value options. He went out of the way to make sure that our stay was comfortable.

It was good but I think it would be better.

The location was pretty and the design of the building was very nice. And I like how the lights were at night time.

the building isn’t as clean as I thought it would be. Definitely a lot needs to be changed or clean, and the walls needs painted job, because the paint was coming off.

Top notch Cancun Hotel with lotsa extras

Was across street from a large mall which contains restaurants and retail. Very close to Cancun nite life central. Hotel is beautiful. Clean rooms, large pool. Ocean front with cabanas. On-site restaurants. Very little to not like about this facility or staff or cleaning help.

I wish the on-site store offered more items and stayed open later. I dislike high pressure timeshare sales so we avoided the front of the hotel where these folks conduct business. I wish the mixed drinks were stronger. I wish check-in was faster.
